With a great grandfather who worked as a stock broker through the Great Depression and a grandfather who bought zero coupon bonds at my birth with maturities laddered throughout my future college years, it is no wonder that I wound up here. My family's history with investing, saving, and planning has shaped my approach to this career: money is a tool to help you reach your goals and with proper planning and forethought, there are so many amazing goals that you can reach.
My career started with a wealth management firm in Los Angeles, CA. While I had a pretty solid working knowledge of the market after earning a degree in Economics from Washington and Lee University, I quickly realized that California wasn't a place that I saw myself building a life. My desire to come back home to West Virginia drove me to join Hilliard Lyons, Baird's predecessor in 2016. Since joining Baird, I have been so thankful to have a company with world renowned resources for my clients and a small enough community feel where I know who I'm working with on the other end of the phone.
Outside of helping clients, I also have a leadership role for several local branches, which allows me to constantly learn from how some of our other advisors help their clients reach goals every day. My goal is to give the people I work with peace of mind as they tackle the financial side of life's greatest decisions - from marriage to retirement, from grieving losses to adding family members, we are here to help you navigate the ups and downs of life.
When I'm not working, I am also a part of the Charleston community, working with several non-profits, serving as the Treasurer for my church, and spending time with my family. My husband, Brian, and I have three boys who keep us on our toes! (I often say, if I can handle wrangling three boys, navigating your complex finances is easy!)
